1. A Day at the Seaside. Found shell, antique drawer pull, bird cut from a coin and old metal bead for umbrella.

2. Old brass clock parts house the shell and gear. The 'flying V' is my signature...our family horse brand.

​3. My grandfather's old belt buckle makes up he back and hinges open to reveal the inner workings.

4. A crank shaft soldered onto a small gear from the old clock turns a bigger gear. The umbrella is attached to the crank shaft and the bird is soldered to a wire attached to the larger gear.

5. The shell is held in place by a sterling silver mount and tiny beads of silver imitate rocks on the beach.
