Sue Sharp Silversmith
I am a studio artist living and working in the Millarville area since 1994.
I graduated with distinction from the Alberta College of Art and Design in the Jewelry and Metals program under the tutorage of masters such as Charles Lewton-Brain, Dee Fontans and Sarabeth Carnet. I owe my aptitude for mastering skill and my work ethic to my wonderful father Malcolm Sharp, my endless well of creativity to my beautiful mother Nelda Sharp (Nowlin), my continuous inspiration to my awesome daughter Morgan O'Neill-Sharp, and my love of life to my ever supportive partner Sean O'Neill-Whitehead. Thank you!
My art speaks of ornate patterns, rich symbolism, intriguing textures, repeating patterns, narratives and Mother nature.
Currently I am having fun creating a body of work in the genre of Automata: kinetic sculptures and jewelry.
...of course this is in between playing fiddle and ukulele, gardening, horseback riding, teaching fitness & personal training.
